The Dog House Thrift
Shop
What a wonderful thing the Dog House Thrift Shop has
achieved for the Humane Society of the White Mountains
!! Thousands of dollars have been generated this year at
the Dog House because of generous donations, and of the efforts of
special "Summer only", and "Winter only" volunteers ! Special
thanks to manager Lea Pace`s time and efforts ! Lea has been
with the Dog House for 7 years as volunteer and manager. Three
years at the shop`s old location by the shelter(now the Paws Clinic), and 4 years at the present
location. |

Some of the very special donations include designer
clothing, wedding dresses, perfect furniture pieces, snowmobiles,
handicapped items, heaters, vents, stoves, washers & dryers,
and so much more ! Frequent comments by customers at the
Dog House might be "I appreciate how organized you are",  "Wow !! this place is really clean !", I really like
your special sales", or "Why are your prices so
low?"
More dollars,
donations, and volunteers are always needed at the Dog House to
continue being the best thrift store on the
mountain.
The Dog House Thrift Shop has become a thriving
business and major fund-raiser for the HSWM. November 7-10 was
a gala celebration of the 4th anniversary for the Dog House at the
present location in Lakeside.
During this past year several individuals and
business`s donated time and materials to help the Dog House be more
"customer friendly". Trees were removed to enlarge the parking
area. Special thanks to Pacific Ponderosa and Eastern
Arizona Surface & Underground !

donated and installed a huge, cannot be missed, lighted sign !

Two large canopies were
donated, and more is needed to protect our numerous donations from
the weather elements.
The Dog House is about
people who care and the animals that benefit from the caring
!!
